It's mostly been a whirlwind of work for me this week. Yesterday I worked a 12 hour day when it was supposed to be 7 lol I watched Serendipity night before last. I love that movie. I also watched Otis which was demented but fun. John watched that one with me. We have gotten to spend some time together since he is working mornings and I haven't got a show going on right now. Other than that, just working on cleaning the house one room at a time because that is all I have time and energy for.
I will let everyone know about Carrie after the weekend, Michael and I are going to see her.
We go to NYC in less than 2 weeks, wooooooooooo! So far, plans include:
*As much Bridget time as we can get :D
*The Lion King
*The Little Mermaid
*The Marvelous Wonderettes(Off-Broadway)
*Rock of Ages (Off-Broadway)
*Rocky Horror Picture Show
*Possible places to see---Guggenheim, Parsons School of Design(from America's Next Top Model), Dylan's Candy Bar, Greenacre Park, and I really want to go to the Blood Manor haunted house. We will see what we actually get to once we get there and ADHD sets in though. haha

theme: Whoooooooo?

3. Who calms you down? Music. Cleaning. Venting. Shopping. Watching a movie.

Carrie update: Still doing better. There is talk of her leaving the hospital when they can get all her treatments and therapy sessions lined up.
Work update: This week was mostly work. My job is so stressful some days I am ready to give up as soon as I clock out. Overwhelmed is an understatement.
Movie update: We went and saw Igor and it was pretty cute. Reminded me of a Tim Burton film. Not AS good but reminded me haha we also finished One Tree Hill season 5 and damn them for such a cliffhanger.
Me update: I have neglected exercise during the past few months with all the theatre and traveling back and forth, but John and I went walking night before last and walked a mile at the track, that made me feel better. I have also been thinking...maybe I should take the alternate route and become a teacher, does anyone have any info on this? Know anyone that did it? Michael and I still plan to open the dinner theatre but it is just taking longer than expected. This week was nice because I got to spend time with John, Michael, my grandparents, Kevin, and Michael's family. I also got started on cleaning my dirty house.
1. “My hands are tied” is an English-language cliche that means “I’d like to do something about this unfortunate situation, but I don’t have the ability or authority.” In what current situation do you feel your hands are tied?
2. Railroad ties are the evenly-spaced slats that lie perpendicular to train tracks and whose function is to hold the tracks in place and to distribute the weight of the train. Who are the railroad ties in your life?
3. What are your feelings about Thai food?
4. Whose thighs do you admire?
5. A red tide is a proliferation (in ideal circumstances) of oceanic algae that often seem to discolor seawater and threaten other sealife. If the ocean is your life and the algae the harmful attitudes, thoughts, or moods that crowd out the good stuff, under what conditions in your life is red tide most likely to become a problem?

Carrie update: She was moved to a regular room and out of ICU a couple days ago. She is recovering well! She will have to be on antiobiotics for several months and she has to go to physical therapy and breathing therapy but hopefully she can go home soon. She was in ICU 13 days and has been in the hospital almost 3 weeks now.
Work update: My to do list is longer than the Natchez Trace. The End.
Movie update: Michael and I went and saw My Best Friend's Girl and it was funny enough, though nothing new to the romantic comedy realm. I do love Dane Cook though so I was good with it. Me, John, and Michael all went to see Eagle Eye and it was pretty good. More of a rental but Autumn, you may want to go just for Shia on the big screen ;o)
ME update: Not getting enough sleep because I am addicted to One Tree Hill haha I am getting SUPER exciting about our upcoming NYC trip. That's right, in case you didn't know I am going back again!!!! :D Lots planned already, I will update on that soon.

Carrie gave us QUITE a scare this week. She has been ICU all week. Medical-induced coma. We visited daily for a while, got shifts covered at work for two days and we were by her side every time the ICU "window" opened. She started waking up one night and gave me such hope when she squeezed my hand after I told her I loved her and that Michael and I would be back to see her the next day. The next day she was awake! She was being a little playful and funny so we knew she was getting better. I am so glad. When she woke up I walked right in and said "Carrie you scared the SHIT out of me" lol she has had another surgery to put in a port for medicine, and she has a long road to recovery but at least she is better, and awake! We are about to go see her in a couple hours.
Our show, All Because of Agatha, opened last night. With work being so damn rough and being so worried about Carrie I have found it exceptionally hard to get into character but I found my way and had more fun last night than I did at any of the rehearsals. I will be so glad when Sunday gets here though. This week alone we have been over 1,000 miles and spent $300 on gas during tech and dress rehearsals. I have MINIMAL free time, my house is a mess, I miss John, I miss my grandparents & Kev, I miss Liz, and I just need some freaking sleep and a little more focus on work.

5. In the world of stand-up comedy, a hack is a comic who steals jokes from other comics. Have you ever known a hack in your own field?

This week seemed to be one bad thing after another leading up to the worst of events, which was Carrie getting put in the hospital day before yesterday. she went to the doctor for a sore/swollen shoulder and the next thing you know she was being prepped for surgery. They think it is a staph infection. A BAD one. One not reacting to antibiotics. She has had surgery two days in a row and going in for a 3rd today. Last night she developed pneumonia with all of it. I am really worried about her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

The beginning of my week was swallowed by the iPhone launch...then I spent 2 days catching up on other work and sleep. The past 2 days were spent in McComb running around town getting ads for our playbill. For those of you who are not on my facebook friends list, I am in another show. This time it is a play called All Because of Agatha. It is about a couple who buy a house in Salem that is haunted by a witch. The wife is interested in the supernatural so they throw a party for her annual arrival. Quite the mix of guests are invited and hilarity ensues. I play the fortune teller, Madam La Solda. Act III is really fun...you try being "drunk" and spouting out Latin phrases :P anyway, we open in two weeks and guess who has not had time to sit down and learn lines. Yeah.
Other than all that me, John, and Mouse have been catching up on One Tree Hill. We are on season 4.

THE BRAVEST OF SOULS UNITED ♥
9/11
What kinds of things
will you never forget?
The cool breeze of autumn...
A night at the Met.
Your first kiss, your last kiss,
the plans that you set.
What kinds of things
will you never forget?
The first time you made love,
and the last time you wept.
Your first A in English and
that great diary you kept.
What kind of things
will you never forget?
Upon all you remember
there are things that will stay.
You cannot take them with you,
yet they will not go away.
What kinds of things
will you never forget?
The things that matter most,
that are sewn into your heart...
You and those memories
shall never part.
What kinds of things
will you never forget?
The things that form daydreams
and send nightmares to rest.
The one who dries your tears
is the one who knows best.
What kinds of things
will you never forget?
It does not seem like a week has passed...I have been so busy preparing for the iPhone launch at work, plus dealing with the extra population in town with the evacuees. It has been crazy. My stress makes me feel like I am going to have a heart attack each day. Yay, huh? On the 3rd, I got to have lunch with Kevin for his birthday, my grandparents and Mouse were there too. We ate at The Garden of Olives (lol) Hmmm...I got back late last night from McComb. Rehearsals are going okay but if I do not learn my lines I am never going to learn my blocking and be able to fully get into character like I need to. Bah.
